Duplicate Items Found and Merged

With the help of Egg Cave's finest item collectors, they have pointed out items that are actually duplicates on the site. This occasionally happens during busy release times when we forget to mark an item as "released" and end up releasing it a second time, thinking that it is an unreleased item. Our apologies.

We are correcting this mistake to help item collectors not be confused by duplicate item images. It will also update item collection counts on egg profiles.

Duplicates that have been merged into one another (same image Travels)...

"Whispering Woods" is now "Snowy Whispering Woods"
"Icy Window" is now "Ice Crystal Window"
Several weeks ago, we corrected: "Snow Cap" is now "Redcap House"
There were two "Floral Pumpkins" (same image) that have been merged into the same "Floral Pumpkin"

What is an item merge?

An item merge is the consolidation of two unique item IDs in Egg Cave's systems into one item ID. This fixes egg profile item collection counts.

What do I need to do?

If you stocked any of the items above in your User Shop, their prices have automatically been reset to 0. You will need to set their price again.

But otherwise, nothing. The only thing you may notice under your account is an updated item name if you happened to possess the "old" item. You do not lose anything from this update or need to transfer everything. We do this all behind the scenes.

Yesss thanks for fixing this!!! ^^ There's always been comments on each blog post that re-released already existing travels and each time they've gone ignored 😋 But better late than never 😊

I thought it was some kind of subtle exclusive for "Snow Cap" & "Redcap House" 😉 Variations isn't really eggcaves forte ... but still thought it could be a subtle one. I wonder which one of those two generated more sales hehe 😋

One of my creatures had the Whispering Woods travel on it, but it disappeared or at least, I couldn't see it anymore. Not complaining, just thought I should let you know.

@jlya i meant that the site is frequently fixed, proves that they care enough to deal with minor, seemingly unnoticeable problems. But if the cave gets a nice set of locks, that'd be cool too.
