Hello, I hope you're all doing well!

I'm here to introduce a creature I really enjoyed designing! However, I doubt it'll get made simply because of the timing! However, it was great to feel the creative juices c:

Inspiration:
I was greatly inspired by the fireworks shows and the amount of waste that occurs when we have the celebration and basically I wanted to provide an explanation to what happens to that waste. Additionally, I wanted to highlight Americas affect on climate and the environment. As a result, my creature was inspired from the North American animal Pika which is predicted to go extinct if the temperature continues to rise.
Despite the heaviness of the topic, I wanted to keep the creature somewhat light and fun because I believe Eggcave shouldn't be a place where we worry a lot about heavy topics and problems of the world.
However, I do believe this is an important issue in our world.

Description:

Pewikas are small creatures known to be seen after the alarming sound of a firework going off. While many creatures would typically run from the loud sound, Pewikas have evolved to be drawn to the loud sound because they need the resources that are provided by the fireworks after they have ignited. For example, their nests are made from the various burnt pieces of firework trash left on the floor due to it's ability to retain heat. In addition, leftover gunpowder is ignited and famously, used when their nests are threatened to scare predators away with it's loud sound and bright flash. Unusually, Pewika are one of the only known species to be able to successfully operate gunpowder without injuries. There have been several reports of Pewikas even being able to navigate unpopped fireworks, both as a defense and as entertainment. Scientist have noted that the rise of the Pewika species is a related to the American tradition of blowing up fireworks on 4th of July where Pewika gets most of its resources. Typically, the waste is enough to last the species a whole year.

The concept & result Pewika is very well thought out & presented as is. Wouldnot change anything. Since it is 4th July creature is doesnot necessarily have to look like a bunny. 😊 I would definitely buy one for every stage. I like it so much. Congratulations on your creativity.

@dcmaster Looks so COOL!! It's like a furry hamster mashed together with firecrackers! I adore the 3rd and 4th stage especially. I don't get what the 2nd stage is doing, is it eating firecrackers or what? The coloring is amazing too, 10/10 rating for me!

Really cute and an cool concept. It doesn't look like its being very safe though. i feel bad for the last stage (where it is riding the rocket). For some reason it reminds me of that scene in the first Toy Story

Woody: Wait a minute, I just lit a rocket... rockets explode. AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!

..... Or maybe it enjoys it. I could see it go flying off into the ether on the back of a rocket. It explode and it falling back to the earth in a daze, only to run off and do it again.
