Some Peacock Facts!

Peacocks are large, colorful pheasants known for their iridescent tails.

These tail feathers or coverts, spread out in a distinctive train that is more than 60 percent of the bird?s total body length.

The large train is used in mating rituals. Females are believed to choose their mates according to the size, color & quality of the feathers.

The term "peacock" technically is only for males.
Females are peahens and together, they are called peafowl.

** Glitter Foam-Sheets 6-Inch-by-4-1/2-Inch, 30-Pack, Bright Colors can be found on Amazon.com or you can visit any store like Walmart or Michaels for any craft supplies needed.

Instructions:
With the blue sparkly foam sheet, cut out two blue ovals for the body of the bird.

With the green sparkly foam sheet, cut out a green "bowling pin" shaped body.

Peel the back off of one of the blue ovals

Press the blue and green feathers on the sticky side in a blue-green pattern; for the peacock's tail.

Now peel the back off of the other blue oval and press it down over top of the feathers on the sticky side so both oval's sticky sides are stuck together, holding the feathers in between.

You will peel the back off of the green sparkly bowling ball body and stick it to the top of the blue sparkly oval body.

To get the circle patterns on the feathers like real peacocks, just cut out blue and green circles from the remainder of the blue and green sparkly foam sheets.

Peel and stick the circles on the feathers in a pattern.

Glue on the googly eyes to the bowling pin green sparkly body

Now peel the back off the purple sparkly foam sheet you cut out in triangle shape and stick on as a beak on the green sparkly body.

Glue the green or teal Ribbon to the back (center) of the feathers and your ornament is ready to hang up once glue is all dried.

About Adarna Eggs

This egg was only available in Egg Cave's Cash Shop Park for December 2011 & 2020.

Adarna eggs are incubated in snow. Because of the rareness of snow in Ark, Adarna eggs are also very rare.

About the Adarna Creature

Adarnas are a rare type of peacock that come out of hiding during the winter season. No one knows why they hide during non-winter months. Naturally, they are referred to as the Christmas peacock. It is typical of Ark residents to put an Adarna on top of their Christmas tree.

Adarna are commonly found frolicking through the snow. But whenever it snows, they shed their feathers entirely. But naked Adarna are not commonly seen because their feathers regrow incredibly fast.
