It would appear that a strange vortex of energy is surrounding this egg, with the vortex's core at the center of it! This vortex of energy, according to the Science and Research Center in Ark City, is thought to be the product of negatively-charge dark matter. They do not believe, however, that it is a portal to another dimension.
It is thought that Axols are dark spirits that are born beneath the ocean's floor ("The Dark Dimension") in the coldest waters of the Far South Sea. As they mature, they crawl out of the cracks of the ocean's floor to become major predators in deep sea life.
Mythically, Axols represent the predator spirit. They remind Arkians of their own weakness and that there are more powerful creatures that could determine the fate of their lives.
