My CDWC Entry:

About Lenochod Eggs:
These eggs can be found nestled inside of the pink rose bushes that are only found on a small island off the north coast of Ark. At the end of spring every year, many Arkians make a trip to search for these eggs, hoping to catch the sweet scent of their budding flowers. In extremely rare occasions, these eggs can be found in the possession of Psyfera, who have taken a liking to the pink buds on the egg's surface. Occasionally, soft squeaking noises can be heard from within when the egg is near hatching, and the pitch of the sound helps determine the creature's gender.

More About The Lenochod:
As a baby, the creature grows no flowers and it has to eat constantly to survive and grow it's first flower, in a process that is known as "blooming". When it is fully grown, the creature prefers to relax, nestled within fully bloomed flowering trees and bushes. They feed on the buds and small fruits as they move slowly from branch to branch, eating and sleeping as they go. These creatures have to eat frequently during Spring and Autumn to keep their flowers blooming through Summer and Winter, in which times they feed off of the flowers' nutrients when there isn't much food to find.
If the creature was found with a Psyfera, the two are inseparable, and the term is known as being "Bonded". The small fairy lives within one of the flowers lining the creature's back, where it stays forever on. They have a mutual relationship, where the creature protects the fairy from harm, and in return the Psyfera keeps the creature's flowers blooming in the Winter and Summer so the creature doesn't have to work hard to find food to keep itself alive. The Psyfera only leaves the creature's side when they take their first journey to find Eroches to keep and gift a pearl to, but mostly all of the Bonded ones prefer not to leave their home, thus leaving that job up to the Unbonded fairies since they have no further need for companionship.
A little known fact is that the flowers that grow on the backs of Bonded creatures are touched by the Psyfera's magic and can be harvested and brewed to make the cups of Magic Tea that are sold at the Bean Sack.

About Lenochod Eggs

Lenochod eggs are usually found on treetops, nestled upon thick layers of leaves close to the trunk of the tree. Tiny flowers will grow on the egg and will flourish as the egg ages. A Lenochod egg with a large amount of blooming flowers is a good indicator that the egg is healthy and will likely hatch soon.

About the Lenochod Creature

The Lenochod is generally described as slow and docile. Because movement burns out a high amount of chemical energy for the Lenochod, they tend to hang stationary from tree branches, only moving when necessary. They also rely heavily on their ability to camouflage with the tree as a natural defense and rarely leave the tree that they are born in. Their diet mainly consists of various leaves, flowers, and berries.

Due to their similarities in nature with the Buttersloff, the two species will occasionally be found living in the same tree, cohabiting peacefully.
