About Rathrop Eggs

This egg was only available in Egg Cave's Cash Shop Park for August 2015.

Each and every Rathrop egg is equipped with a functional, albeit modest, stinger that can deliver mild toxins to any creature that ventures too close to it. Humans pricked by one of these stingers rarely exhibit anything more than an uncomfortable swelling at the site of the wound.

About the Rathrop Creature

Rathrops are venomous rodents that patrol the arid environment that is the Northern Plains. At dusk, being the nocturnal creatures that they are, Rathrops will begin emerging from their sandy burrows in pursuit of food and general socialization.

As the Rahtrop species matures, so does the venom present within the glands of their barbed tail. The once faint toxin has since transformed into a much more potent concentration that can both quickly subdue prey and ward off (most) predators. Drifting bandits of the Northern Plains have a long-lived tradition of frying up Rathrops, tail and all, as they trek across the desert in search of their next bounty.
