Site Fixes for 24 May and Some Browsing Tips

May 24, 2017 at 12:00 AM

Things not looking right? Don't use IE.

If things haven't been looking right at Egg Cave since the switch to version 3 and you're using Internet Explorer, we recommend that you switch to a browser that respects modern web standards better. Any of these three will do! Promise. Everything on the web will be better!

  • Switch to Google Chrome: Download
  • Switch to Safari: Download
  • Switch to Firefox: Download
  • Available for Windows 10: Please use Microsoft Edge, the latest browser for Windows 10.

99% of the time when something doesn't look right on Egg Cave, it's because the person is using Internet Explorer. But the web is moving forward to more secure browsers! So pick one from the list above.

Fixed: Double and Triple Evolution Notifications

Duped notifications for creature evolutions should be permanently fixed. If you get another duped one from here on out, please let us know.

Fixed: Missing Resurrection Stone Creatures

~100,000 missing dead creatures are back from the dead via the Resurrection Stone. Hahaha, funny!

Improved: Creature Evolutions

We've improved the speed of creature images and evolutions in today's fixes.

Last Call: Bird Creature Suggestions

A few days ago, we announced that an upcoming random theme would be birds and we wanted to take creature suggestions accordingly at the Forums. All bird-related suggestions posted at the Forums will be reviewed and chosen on Thursday, May 25. Any suggestions submitted after this date will not be chosen as a suggestion, no matter how good it is! We have to send off your suggestions to our artists in time to have the creatures made.

Thank you for your overwhelmingly positive contributions thus far, Egg Cavers! We love you!

@valorie100 I still miss Netscape ☚ī¸ IE was really difficult to use in AOL Software, so I leaned on Netscape until it went away. ☚ī¸

I'm shocked IE is still a thing people use. It's soooo old lol.

chiroptera • 24 May 2017, 2:43 AM

Don't you mean back to the dead? They're still dead :c

sugarsprig • 24 May 2017, 3:02 AM

gumiho710 • 24 May 2017, 3:51 AM

sparklefox • 24 May 2017, 3:52 AM

I still have yet to actually draw out my idea... Thanks for the fixes, though.

Ah, crap, I keep putting off my other bird suggestion XD Lol, need to get to that!

rebel • 24 May 2017, 7:05 PM

Now there are creatures that I already revived showing up on the resurrection stone page again?

immortalraven • 24 May 2017, 11:23 PM

@rebel At least one other also had that happen. Now they are trading it xD

lykhaos117 • 24 May 2017, 11:25 PM

Finally finished my bird suggestion! 😃

rebel • 24 May 2017, 11:32 PM

@immortalraven Isn't that kind of cheating though? I feel like I could get in trouble for it xD

immortalraven • 24 May 2017, 11:39 PM

@rebel I kinda see it as that too :c Maybe, maybe not. It's hard to find some critters on here and it's kinda good it's out

immortalraven • 24 May 2017, 11:39 PM

there again I guess but it's just ehh :c

veritaspunk • 25 May 2017, 1:48 AM

@immortalraven @rebel It's not like *you* caused the glitch, just giving what the game currently gives you. like the 200cc Leaf of Vaka. etc

tash • 25 May 2017, 3:39 AM

Who in their right mind would use IE? *face palms*

rebel • 25 May 2017, 6:48 AM

@veritaspunk True, I just feel like it would be morally wrong to take advantage of a glitch haha. I've been on other sites where users get

rebel • 25 May 2017, 6:48 AM

banned for doing such things, maybe it's different here, idk

Meteoroid • 25 May 2017, 7:49 PM

Remember, kids: friends don't let friends use Internet Explorer. Please browse responsibly. 😉

veritaspunk • 25 May 2017, 9:07 PM

@Meteoroid Maybe on April Fools day 😉
