APRIL FOOLS!!! Egg Cave is not becoming to Eggnite. We are not transitioning to a battle royale game. Creatures cannot be killed by other users. It's a joke! The Egg Cave that you all know and love is here to stay.
Even though April Fools is over, we couldn't resist continuing the Eggnite joke though. Say hello to the Wackalama, the egg that you can actually whack with a stick to make it hatch (without doing any harm)!
This creature will be available in the Cave through April 7 and then become a Cash Shop creature.
In preparation for Easter, these Easter-themed Travels have arrived in the Cash Shop for a limited time.

Love the Wackalama lol! A way to please young children with a pinata and get a pet. (just please make sure the child doesn't think the hatched pet is another bonus pinata.)

@arcana The chests were just a silly thing to have fun with, they didn't mean anything. We weren't actually going to get rid of the Cave and make people pay crazy amounts of CC to open them.

I love the little chick travel but, as I've seen probably way to much recently, the image is unclear... I remember in around 2016 the resolution of travels began getting worse. Not sure why though. Am i the only one that sees this?? @ian @eggcaveteam

Most of the new pets this month are so detailed that, in their small size, it's hard to figure out what is even happening in the final stage.

Go figure. I knew it! XD I know how much coding goes into this, trust me. And changing it from an adoptables website to a Fortnight remix is a BIG DEAL! That’s a huge difference. Anyhow, you’d need to do a lot more animation and a 3D ish gaming- Know What, never mind. Good joke!

I don't have a favorite April Fools joke but this could have went into multifaceted layers of amusement with the April Fools joke element being the credible "sleight of hand" to transition into an introduction to EggCave Minigames 😉

@arcana Similar to the chests, you find teeny little eggs all over the site except once you've found all of the eggs (there's a log & it checks off what ones you found) you get to get the prizes & prize creature, which is usually a new Easter pet 😊
