About Vecker Eggs

This egg was only available in Egg Cave's Cash Shop Park for September 2013.

A disturbing characteristic of Vecker eggs is that they require a host in order to receive the proper type of nourishment for growth. The eggs of other jungle species are most commonly used as hosts because of their lack of movement and inability to remove the parasitic roots. In extreme cases where no host eggs can be located, Vecker parents will sacrifice their own body as a means to provide proper nutrition.

About the Vecker Creature

Even after hatching, Veckers retain their unsettling and parasitic nature of leeching off creatures as a means to survive in the jungles of Ark.Spritemice, an advanced form of plant life in the same habitat, oftentimes fall victim to this species (in a strange twist of fate, the warning signs placed near Spritemice hubs as a means to protect others from harm are used by Veckers to locate an easy meal). Once a Spritemice colony is located, a Vecker will securely embed its limbs into the ground above it and allow their roots to quickly burrow deeper. Any Spritemice caught in the downward spiral of roots will become entangled and immobilized while the Vecker drains the creature of its nutrients.

Spritemice aren't very fond of Veckers.
