This RP is based on a 1x1 RP I had with @starling

This RP follows it's own continuity so certain back stories may be different.

In this RP you are a mutant attending the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning where you must learn to control your mutant abilities.

The school is located at X-Mansion, a large mansion with several underground levels that also is the base of operations for the superhero team of mutants, the X-Men.

Areas students are allowed to go to: -The classrooms
-The dormitories which are two guest houses in the back on either side of the pool, one for boys and one for girls, each with its own common room
-The front courtyard
-The pool
-The basketball court
-The kitchen which is very large with multiple tables to fit all the students
-The garden/hedge maze on the side of the house
-The shore of the lake that is just beyond the pool in the backyard
-The common room which is located next to the cafeteria in the back of the main building with windows facing the pool and pathways connecting to the dorms
-Other rooms such as the danger room, which creates holograms for realistic training

Schedule:
7:00-8:00 Breakfast in the common room/kitchen
8:00-9:45 1st Period
9:45-10:30 2nd Period
10:30-11:15 3rd Period
11:15-12:00 4th Period
12:00-12:40 Lunch
12:40-1:25 5th Period
1:25-2:10 6th Period
2:10-2:55 7th Period
2:55-3:40 8th Period
3:40-5:30 Free Time
5:30-6:30 Dinner/Free Time
6:30-9:00 Free Time
9:00-11:00 Students required to be in common room or dorm
11:00-7:00 Students required to be in dorm common room or dorm

Although each student has a different schedule, students in their first year have the schedule of:
1st: Math
2nd: Science
3rd: Weapons
4th: Projectiles
5th: Tactics
6th: Martial Arts
7th: English
8th: Power Control

Power Control is the only class all first year students don't have together. Depending on their powers, they will have a different mentor for that class. They may even alternate mentors on different days of the week if their power is broad enough. Almost any X-Man can be a mentor if needed and I will add them to the list as so.

-Shadowcat/Kitty Pryde: Martial Arts teacher
-Rogue/Anna Marie
-Gambit/Rèmy LeBeau: Projectiles teacher

-Havok/Alex Summers
-Northstar/Jean-Paul Beaubier: Light mentor
-Warpath/James Proudstar: Weapons teacher

The main enemy of the X-Men is the Brotherhood of Mutants.

Many more characters will be added as the RP goes on. If you wish to know more about a character Google it because I don't have the time or patience to list every mutants power and so on as well.

Rules:
-Use correct grammar.
-Write at least 3 sentences per post, but preferably more.
-Don't make your mutant too powerful.
-Be creative with your ability. If your mutant's ability is the same old boring abilities everybody always repeats in these RPs (such as the ability to control water and ice DDX) I will not accept. At least change it up a little bit.
-Put a smiley in the other section if you've read all this.
-You can control the X-Men, however I have already created a plot for the first year of school, so don't do anything to them that might create a major change in the plot.

Personality:shy, little loopy, overprotective of those she gets close to, quick learner
Appearance: Dark brown hair, hazel brown eyes, hourglass figure, 5'3", olive skin, has a little of everything in looks
Mutant Ability: hyper-processing mentally, telepathic(?) and sky speaker
Other: dislikes arguments of any type, really tries to follow rules but has a hard time understanding surroundings at times, naturally good with working metal


NOTE: Superhero name suggestion and criticism of character is appreciated, not really good at keeping logical at times.
Sky Speaker is something I've had in verbal rps with friends, and is pretty much control over breeze/ability to hear things on the wind. If not wanted with the character it's alright.

Personality:
She is a very mischievous individual and likes to pull good-natured pranks once in a while. She is an average student and can often be caught day dreaming in classes. Loyal and dedicated, she can concentrate well on important tasks.

Mutant Ability:
Illusion-She can make subtle changes to an individual's perception of what they see. At most she can hide the presence of a small group of people from one target. She is unable however to disguise sounds, physical touch or scents.

@miroughsorano Well, when I said put a smiley in the other section I meant in your character form where it says other. XD It's fine though. For someone who's new on Eggcave I can see how it'd be confusing. Anyway, accepted. Can you explain what you mean by hear things on the wind?

Name: Leanne Adams

Superhero name: Critter

Personality: A very timid girl who tends to keep to herself and tries to stay away from any unnecessary conflict. She does not trust others easily, but once someone earns her trust she becomes fairly outgoing around them and is very loyal. Leanne doesn't voice her opinion on many matters, but she is very stubborn when she does decide to take a stand. She generally keeps a calm demeanor in order to better hide herself, but in certain situations this outward appearance can quickly snap. Often times when this happens, Leanne will shapeshift and lose control of the human part of her. Despite losing control very few times, Leanne lives in a constant fear that she will be overcome by the animal within, leading to her tendency to hide herself from others. Leanne has had a rough past that she doesn't want anyone to discover, therefore, she is constantly hiding how she truly feels.

Appearance: A skinny girl who is slightly shorter than average height. She has wavy light brown hair and hazel eyes. She wears comfortable and casual clothes that do not draw attention to herself. The right side of Leanne's body has multiple scars, which she does her best to hide.

Mutant Ability: The ability to shapeshift into any living animal. Leanne cannot shapeshift into human-animal hybrids, but only into animals themselves. She takes on the instincts of any form that she is currently in, and she often times struggles to keep those instincts from overriding her human logic.

((This is one of two characters that I generally use for all of my roleplays. At the moment, she's in one other roleplay, so I could change the name or something if it's a problem. x) ))

Yeah, I'll try. I normally use it with a verbal RP with friends. The character can accidently overhear conversations if the air is shifting in her direction is one example. Basically has extended hearing because of association to air. She can hear whispers from across the room and can have longer range depending on control and focus. With good control she could possibly be able to send responses without anyone else hearing. Just an ability I made up really, and since you wanted creativity I figured I would try it out.

Ugh. Haven't made my characters yet so I guess I'll have to do that. XD

Name: Spruce Hayes
Superhero name: Lynx
Personality: Lynx has somewhat of a split personality. Because of he powers he can be prone to mood-swings. The warm side of his personality is energetic, friendly, and outgoing but short-tempered. The colder side is quiet, shy, humble, and laid-back but cruel.
Appearance: Lynx's hair is somewhat of a dark, sandy blond. He puts it up and to the side. He has green eyes. His face is thin but with a very defined jawline.
Mutant Ability: Ability to take on physical or mental characteristics or abilities of a Lynx. He can change the temperature of matter and also control said matter.
Other: 😊

Name: Hayley Simons
Superhero name: None yet
Personality: Hayley is very tough. She cares about people a lot but often speaks her mind even though it might offend somebody. She likes to have many friends though it doesn't always work out.
Appearance: Hayley has straight, light brown hair that goes down to her shoulders. She has plain brown eyes. She stands about 5'5" and although she's very skinny she's also very strong.
Mutant Ability: Hayley has the ability to control plants, not in the conventional way but true telekinesis that only works on plant cells. In other words, if it is made up of living or dead plant cells (so even wooden furniture or the boards in a house) she can move it with her mind.
