This is the actual RP for the Academy!

Wolfie grabbed her supplies, and blasted toward the Academy. She was so excited! She finally had the chance to be a Wonderbolt!! When she landed, she saw all sorts of pegasi chatting, waiting to get inside, their bunk buddies talking beside them. Wolfie, sadly, came with no buddy... She grew up with none. She walked towards the crowd, hoping to find a friend.


Dragon Born teleported to the Academy, ready to get the next few weeks up and running. She looked over the crowd, seeing if he knew anypony, until he spotted one. One pony he thought of everyday. Shadow.

@dasie Half-dragon Toxic and blind Zanna will be her friend.

Toxic looked around at all the peagsai gathered at the acadmey. She hid her dragon half in the shadows her wings tucked in against her body. She felt so strange compared to the rest of them. She did'nt know if she should hide in her dorm first or meet other ponies. One thing for sure was she could'nt show them her dragon half.

Zanna walked into the acadmey. She heard the voices of many other pegasi and could smell the walls.

Shadow took a deep breath, shaking in the large crowd. Would anypony notice her scars? Would Dragon Born think they were gross? Would she achieve her dream? Questions piled in her mind, and Shadow found herself on the brink of tears with fear. Settling with a determined look, she sucked up the tears and waited to see what would happen next. Excited voices filled the air. Shadow was on over-load, freaking out. This crowd was large. Too large. Shadow was quickly losing her nerve, searching through the endless, brightly-colored bodies for a familiar or friendly face, finding a face she'd rather have not seen at that moment. Yes, of course, it was Dragon Born. Blushing profusely, Shadow averted her eyes and sank to the back of the crowd, fearing she'd never be a Wonderbolt. "I'm just to scared..."

Dragon Born knew he had to say hi. He KNEW he had to go to her. But would she let him say hi? She took a deep breath and walked over to the mic. "Good Afternoon Recruits!" He smiled, and looked over the crowd, his eyes locking with Shadow's. "Has everypony found their bunk buddy?"

Wolfie scowered the crowd, and found a pony who seemed as nervous as she was. "Hey. I'm Wolfie. Do you have a bunk buddy?"

Shadow's eyes locked with Dragon Born's and her face burned a bright pink. /Oh dear.../

"Hey. I'm Wolfie. Do you have a bunk buddy?"

The question vaguely entered her thoughts, and SHadow turned, completely startled. "Oh! Um, no..." She stammered. "D-do you...?" Her eyes literally begged Wolfie to say no, the immenant fear clouding them.

"No. Care to be mine?" She asked, looking at the pony. She hoped she would say yes, her eyes pleading.

"That's good!" Dragonborn started to explain the rules, and lead the way to the dorms. "Now, let's eat everypony!" He smiled, and walked into the cafeteria.

Shadow sighed in relief. "Oh thank Celestia... I thought I'd be all alone!" Smiling, she gently hugged the other mare. "Come on, let's go!" Shadow trotted towards the cafeteria, looking behind her to make sure that Wolfie was following. "Oh, and I'm Shadow."

Wolfie smiled. Maybe she had found a... friend. The wolves never let her have friends, until she was sent off to the Academy, where they had no control over her.

Dragon Born grabbed his food, and sat over at a table. When he saw Shadow walk in, he blushed heavily.

/Step One: Confidence!/ SHadow thought determindly, seeing Dragon Born blush at what seemed to be a very beautiful blonde pegasus passing by. /Nopony cares about her! Make him think of you!/

"Hey, let's go sit by my friend over there!" SHe suggested to Wolfie, and trotted over with her lunch. Shadow didn't blush, and silently rewarded herself.

"Hey Dragon Born!" Shadow smiled with complete confidence, plopping into the seat across from him. Not bothering to notice his blushing--which the young mare presumed was due to all the lovely pegasi flaunting themselves everywhere--she got down to business. "Have you met Wolfie? She's my super-duper-awesome roomie!" Shadow was dying on the inside from the sudden outgoing personality she'd taken on to get the stallion's attention. Surely he'd never like the shy Shadow. So Shadow simply changed. She'd get used to it soon enough.

Dragon Born was surprised to hear Shadow this upbeat. "Shadow? What got you so happy?" He smiled, butterflies in his stomach. He wanted to lean forward and kiss her, but was afraid she would reject him, so he stayed back. "Yeah, I saw her name in the acceptance letters."

Shadow's upbeat, confident smile wavered. "Oh, you know. It's just great to be here!" She lied, shaking like a leaf inside while her body remained still, almost literally emmiting confidence. But she secretly wanted Dragon Born to pry. Deep down she wanted him to like her for who she was... Probelm was, nopony liked the shy Shadow.

"Silly, I am myself!" Shadow laughed, still not ready to admit what a little 'fraidy cat she was. "I decided it was about time to stop being so scared anyways." At least that was true. Another pretty blonde walked by, snickering at Shadow. "Who knew the little filly afraid of her own /shadow/ would be so confident now?" She laughed, the pun quite obvious. Her friends sneered at the black mare, giggling nastily before trotting off. Shadow's face fell, and she pulled her hoof away. "Oh, why do I even bother...?" She muttered, and left the cafeteria to find a lonely spot alone to eat alone, leaving Wolfie with Dragon Born.

"Shadow!" Dragon Born yelled, and galloped after her. "Look, Shadow." He stepped in front of her, and took a deep breath. "I've had a c-..." He gulped. "A crush on you since the beginning, since I first met you." He tilted her head slightly with his hoof. "I fell for the shy Shadow. For the Shadow I knew." He leaned in and kissed her, not able to hold it back. "Why do you think I was blushing when you walked in? I was afraid you wouldn't like /me/ anymore..."

Shadow returned the kiss, but when her eyes opened, she was crying. "... I can't right now... I... I..." And she cantered away, sobbing. The little filly afraid of her shadow, running as always. Oh, what a scene she'd made. All those awful, hateful mares just laughed and laughed. Shadow finally made it to her room, stomach rumbling, but she didn't eat. And suddenly, she was back at flight school, scared of every little leap she had to take.

Oh, how they laughed.

But home wasn't any better.

Shadow crawled under her bunk, letting her tears flow freely in private.

Shadow didn't bother to look at the note. SHe was a fool. Dragon Born was lying. Her mother's cruel words cut through the young mare like a knife, and she curled up by herself, in the dark lonely room. Just like home. Shadow vaguely wondered where her roomie was, but just pushed the thought away. "She doesn't care either."

"Yea." Shadow muttered. "Go ahead--laugh like the rest of 'em. I doesn't hurt like it used to anyways." That was a lie. Then again, Shadow lied more often now. Mostly about her feelings. "I'm just a foal. A foal who was stupid enough to fall in love... A foal scared of every leap... So scared, she can't even face her fear to accomplish her dreams."

Wolfie whimpered, and looked at Shadow. "Shadow, don't do that to yourself... He loves you..." She picked up the note, and opened it. "Look." She hands Shadow a picture. It has a picture of Shadow on it, and Dragon Born beside her. On the back it says, "I love you for you, Shadow. Just be you."

Shadow didn't move. "Yeah, so he's just as dumb as me. And the circle is complete." She spat sarcastically. "And I'm not doing this to myslef, Wolfie. It's them. It's... It's her." The way Shadow said "her" was full of hatred and hidden pain. "They laugh, oh, how they laugh. What do they know about me? Nothing. They couldn't ever understand what I went through. All their mothers loved them."

"Yeah, sure." Shadow sighed. "We're roomies, after all." She took the note, staring wistfully at the picture. SHe remembered that day like it was only hours ago, though in reality, it was quite a few years back.

Shadow laughed humorlessly. "Looks like we're both outcasts. Don't worry though. We gotta stick together. I got you back, you got mine. Deal?" Her neon green eyes looked up at the wolf. "Together, we'll become the greatest WOnderbolts Equestria has seen." But in truth, SHadow had only said that to make Wolfie happy.
